Taylor-Wharton
announces Energy Surcharge on Cryogenic Products
(Camp Hill, PA) Harsco Corporation’s
Taylor-Wharton announced today that effective May 15, it will be
assessing a temporary 1.9% energy surcharge on all orders placed
for cryogenic storage equipment. This surcharge is a result of the
steadily rising energy costs that have been playing havoc on the
US economy for the past year.
"We have avoided a surcharge
as long as we possibly could," said Scott Boyd,
Taylor-Wharton’s VP - Sales and Marketing. "But fueling
cost have continued to spiral out of control, well beyond our
ability to absorb them internally."
It has been reiterated that this
surcharge and the one levied last month on high pressure and
acetylene cylinders are temporary. "Taylor-Wharton is taking
all precautions to try and neutralize any additional charges and
resume business as normal," added Boyd.
