Camp Hill, PA (May 17, 2002) - Diversified worldwide industrial services and products company Harsco Corporation (NYSE: HSC) announced today that its Taylor-Wharton unit, part of the Harsco Gas and Fluid Control Group, has entered into a North American agreement with AGA Gas, Inc., and Holox Ltd., Members of the Linde Gas Group, designating Taylor-Wharton as the primary supplier to provide AGA and Holox facilities in North America with a broad range of gas containment and control related products. The agreement, valued at approximately $8 million annually, names Taylor-Wharton to supply cryogenic equipment, gas cylinders and valves for a wide spectrum of AGA and Holox applications. Taylor-Wharton’s Theodore, Alabama factory will produce a range of bulk vacuum-jacketed cryogenic storage units, as well as electronic-grade containers assembled in the company’s ultra high purity Class 1000 Clean Room. Portable liquid cylinders, Laser Pak III and Auto-Fill Laser Pak vessels are also manufactured in Theodore. Large high pressure compressed gas cylinders will be supplied from Taylor-Wharton’s Harrisburg, PA plant; and, acetylene cylinders and small high pressure cylinders will be produced in Huntsville, AL. Taylor-Wharton’s Sherwood operating unit, with locations in Cleveland, OH, Lockport, NY, Wheatfield, NY and Washington, PA will manufacture a expansive range of high pressure, acetylene and specialty valves for AGA and Holox requirements. Sherwood’s operations are the only 100% fully integrated facilities producing medical, compressed gas, acetylene and specialty valves in North America.

Brian Haley, President of Holox, commented that AGA and Holox combined their substantial purchasing potential to negotiate an agreement that would situate the Linde Gas Group in the best possible position to take advantage of market recovery opportunities.
