PA (October 1, 2002) – Scott W. Boyd, Taylor-Wharton’s Vice
President of Sales & Marketing, has announced the selection of
William E. Carel as Sales Advisor to T-W’s Industrial Gas Products
sales organization. "Bill brings an exceptional base of compressed
gas industry knowledge to Taylor-Wharton", said Boyd. "His 25+
years of experience with gas equipment, applications, development
and distributor relationships will have an immediate impact on
our marketing objectives."
Mr.
Carel’s service to the industrial gas industry includes an
outstanding tenure with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. Most
recently, he worked with Chart Industries Storage Systems
Division. Based in Denver, Colorado, Bill will be responsible for
assisting with sales to the industry Buying Groups, certain gas
distributors and major industrial gas producers.
Mr.
Carel’s sales initiatives will be focused within the framework of
the Taylor-Wharton unit of Harsco Corporation’s Gas and Fluid
Control Group. Taylor-Wharton supplies cryogenic equipment, gas
cylinders and valves for a wide spectrum gas and fluid
applications. Taylor-Wharton’s Theodore, Alabama factory produces
a range of bulk vacuum-jacketed cryogenic storage units, as well
as electronic-grade containers, assembled in the company’s ultra
high purity Class 1000 Clean Room. Portable liquid cylinders,
Laser Pak III and Auto-Fill Laser Pak vessels are also
manufactured in Theodore. Large high pressure compressed gas
cylinders are produced at Taylor-Wharton’s Harrisburg, PA plant,
while acetylene cylinders and small high pressure cylinders are
manufactured in Huntsville, AL. Taylor-Wharton’s Sherwood unit,
with operations in Cleveland, OH, Lockport, NY, Wheatfield, NY and
Washington, PA manufactures an expansive range of high pressure,
acetylene and specialty valves. Sherwood’s operations are the only
100% fully integrated facilities producing medical, compressed
gas, acetylene and specialty valves in North America.
